FAQ

  • What is the curriculum used at Te Whare Rama Early Learning Centres?
Our curriculum is based on Te Whāriki - the early childhood education curriculum in New Zealand. It is a holistic and bicultural framework that emphasises the development of the whole child, including their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. We also integrate our values-based Christian philosophy into our curriculum. These include love, respect and trust.
  • What are the qualifications and experience of the teaching team?
Most of our amazing teaching team are qualified and registered. Those who are untrained or in training have significant experience and a wealth of knowledge to contribute to our team. • What is the settling in process?
A smooth transition is very important as your child needs to know they will be looked after by familiar people in familiar surroundings. Our aim is to help your child feel comfortable, confident and excited about their new learning environment. Firstly you will come for a tour to see if you think we will be a good fit for you and your child. Once you have enrolled we arrange settling-in visits with you. This can be as many as you like - we suggest at least three. These allow you to familiarise yourself with the preschool environment, meet the teachers, and ask any questions you may have. Every child is unique, and the settling-in process may vary depending on your needs and circumstances.
  • How are parents involved in their child's learning journey?

  • What health and safety measures are in place?
The health and safety of children is a priority for us. We adhere to all ECE Regulations, Licensing Criteria and health and safety legislation. Our strict hygiene practices provide reassurance that your child is in a safe environment.
