There are 38 children in the preschool and 12 in our nursery, connected by the playgrounds, so siblings are able to interact with each other.

 

With our preschool opening in 1990 and our separate nursery in 2011, our longevity is supported by strong relationships with parents/ whānau and children. We offer a safe, caring and respectful environment for your child to thrive and build a solid foundation for their learning journey.

Our team is responsive to the needs and development of tamariki in our care and we encourage children to have a strong sense of identity, as well as having fun. Our welcoming, nurturing and inclusive principles create many spaces for creativity. 

 

We value that each child is unique and cultural diversity is celebrated here. Laughter, curiosity and discovering thrive in this centre. 

 

Our smaller nursery ensures we are able to have key teachers to provide primary care for our infants and toddlers.

We have strong links to our local community. Relationships with our local schools (Aidanfield Christian School, Middleton Grange, Oaklands Primary School, Halswell Primary School) ensure a smooth transition for your child to go to school. Our preschool shares the Halswell site of Southwest Baptist Church and many community groups are available for you to join eg foot clinic, craft group, Keep Active, English classes, Ricecube.
